Sant’Erasmo is an island in the northern Venetian lagoon. The second largest after Venice, it is at the centre of a triangle formed by Murano, Burano and Punta Sabbioni.

Beautiful to visit is the Maximiliam Tower, a massive Habsburg military fortification overlooking the harbour mouth of the Lido. Opened to the public in 2004.

Overlooking the beach of –Baccan-where traditionally  Venetians go by boat to sunbathe and for summer hiking, it is a piece of beach with water constantly oxygenated at various depths. The most famous festival in this place is the Redentore
